More of Wakiki -
The amount of ABC stores in Wakiki is crazy! The Marriott had one in each corner of their lobby! Really? One on every block!
Some of the beautiful flowers in Hawaii~
This is the inside of Diamond Head - what a shocker! Who knew?
Kayleen and I took the day and went whale watching. It was fun and we saw a lot of whales, but we didn't get the big breech photo I was looking for. This was Kayleen's first whale watching. It was a great day!
So many ukuleles and I was busy watching for whales. They had an instructor on the boat, but I knew all that he was teaching (and more.)
Doesn't this look fun? I would have loved to have tried it!
This is the Wakiki Marriott~
Vince and Kayleen Leone traveled with us and it looks like they had a good time! We all did! Perfect weather! We stayed the first 3 nights in a horrible location and a horrible room - oh strike that! We had a 2 two room suite with two bathrooms and 4 balconies AND a connecting room for the Leone's! Ocean view! It was awesome! The Wakiki Marriott has made some great changes since we were there! It is gorgeous. Mike Nisky is the General Manager and I used to work for him in Torrance when he was the Food and Beverage Director. He really spoiled us.
We played Ko Olina golf course near the Ihilani Marriott. I had made a connection here for the past several years and got us all local fees of $85 - score as the rates are $125. Beautiful course!
We had always heard about Turtle Bay Resort so we stopped. We were rather disappointed. Not well maintained at all and the course didn't look that great!
We stopped along our drive to eat White Shrimp and rice and Baja corn on the cob! The shrimp was good but the corn was amazing! HomeTown Fair should do these! $3 an ear! Worth every penny!
Brigham Young University Hawaii - beautiful campus Emma!
January 23rd was the beginning of the Chinese New Year - the year of the dragon! Walking around this China town kind of talked me out of going to China, I think!
Klipper Marine Base golf course - beautiful course with three holes along the coast!
