Let the unwrapping begin ~

Here are a few shots from yesterday morning. Poor Porter did not feel well, so he slept in Kristen's arms. Then he came around and felt better. We were so glad. They were all so cute and had a great Christmas.

Piper asked Santa for a Princess dress and this is what Mrs. Claus came up with. It was very cute!

Pre-Christmas activities

We are having a great time with these little munchkins~ Grandpa brought in a big box and they played in and out and around this for hours. Thanks Grandpa!

Kristen bought some gingerbread kits and I bought some too (great minds) and so here are the families putting them together.

Coloring time-

Putting up window gels and taking down window gels and rearranging! Oh what fun -

Grandpa and Piper doing some pre-holiday cinnamon rolls. Piper wants to be a chef in Paris.

Checking out the train - it does work!

Alisha, Brittiany and Sean

Can't believe the "baby" of the first batch of grandkids is 18! Where has time gone? They were just little rug rats not too long ago.

Happy 18th Birthday, Sean!

We had a mini surprise party for Sean a few days before his birthday! We love you Sean! Happy Birthday and thanks for helping us out.

Anyone want to climb our tree this year?

So we got home from Arizona where we enjoyed 75 degrees and who is driving down our street tonight? Santa! Yup, tonight the police and fire department were driving our neighborhood with Santa in tow! Yipes! Well, so I went outside and all the neighbor kids across the street came out all excited. I noticed the houses up and down our street had been decorated for Christmas this past weekend. So I looked at Katie Jackson, who calls me "grandma Vicki" and I said, "what happened to the neighborhood while we were gone, Katie?" She looked up at me and looked at our tree and said, "When is YOUR tree going to be decorated?" I told her she would have to talk to Allen. So I asked her what she was going to say to Allen when she saw him and her reply was "Dude, get the lights up!" I just about split a gut! Here is this little cute, blonde 7 year old and it just came out so funny! So Allen - "Dude, get the lights up!" Afterall, it is December 1st, sheesh!~

A Golf Getaway ~

This Thanksgiving weekend we took the opportunity to enjoy and be thankful for our good health and good weather by driving to Scottsdale, Arizona with Vince and Kayleen. We stayed at the ever beautiful (if not more beautiful now) Camelback Marriott. They have just finished a $48M renovation and it is a 5 star resort. We were blown away by how beautiful they have made this place. This is Mr. Marriott's favorite resort and you can tell. The staff is top notch and the golf course is fabulous. Even if you don't play golf more than once a year (me) you appreciate the beauty of this golf course. The homes around it are absolute mansions. We had a great time. Below is one of the many beautiful homes that line the Indian Bend golf course (Marriott's course).
