Chagrin Falls

We drove out to Chagrin Falls - it is a very small town that is just adorable. A Maybury type of town. It was Labor Day and most of the stores were closed- sorry Rick!

West Side Market

Great market in Cleveland - if you can't find it here - you don't need it.

Fragile - it must be Italian

We visited the Christmas Story house in Cleveland. It is a riot! Our family is such big fans of this movie. They have the house, a gift shop and a museum all on the same block in three different houses. The neighborhood is a hoot as it is not in the best of neighborhoods, meaning it is not well maintained and then in the middle of that is this house, store and museum. A man bought this house on ebay for a ridiculous amount and then poured more money in the other houses and restored this house to look like the home from the movie. We took the tour and then went to the museum where Patty Johnson, the head elf from the movie was there. What a character she is. If you go to Cleveland, and I recommend you do as it is a very nice place to visit, you have to go see the Christmas Story House. What a hoot!

The Johnson's new joint

Misty and Rick and Piper live in a very cute neighborhood only a short walking distance from Lake Erie. All the homes around them are adorable. This will be a fun neighborhood at Halloween! The people they rented from have been very kind and left lots of things for them. Amazingly generous with the things they left - especially 3 snow shovels and a snow blower. Piper gets her own snow shovel. I wonder about the winter now. Who needs 3 snow shovels AND a snow blower? Good luck Johnsons! Thanks for letting me come and visit on your first week of moving in. I tell you some Mother-in-laws are such a pain, aren't they?

More playtime - let's get grandma involved

Okay, so I am over 60 - where does it say you can't go down a slide anymore? Piper is already running to do it again. What fun!

Piper at play in Cleveland (Rocky River)

This is the little park down the street from Misty, Rick and Piper's new home. Piper had a blast going down the slide and what a climber. Now climbing out of her crib. She is a funny little gal.
