Coronado trip
Kayleen and I have just spent 4 days down in Coronado sewing, watching movies, eating, walking, knitting, sleeping and then we did some touring of Coronado and Point Loma. We went clear to the end to the light house. The Hotel del Coronado is such a beautiful hotel. The ceiling is made out of sugar pine and not one nail in it. Amazing! Also, the Coronado Marriott is one of the nicest and friendliest staffs I have met. Beautiful area and the Fort Rosecrans Military cemetery is huge and impressive. It reminded me a lot of Normandy Beach with the seeing the mass amount of head stones and then the water. The statue is of Juan Cabrillo, a Spainish captain who landed here in 1542. So we had a "staycation" and explored California. Everyone should explore their own state - most of us don't.
