San Diego Sewing Sweat Shop (sure!)

Kayleen and I had a great 3 day weekend just relaxing by the pool, walking along the harbor, ordering room service, watching chick flicks and oh, yes - sewing! Kayleen is a brilliant seamstress and I picked her brain dry. We had fireworks every night. We received a lovely snack basket from my friend. Who really needed to leave the room? We had a beautiful suite with two connecting bedrooms all compliments of my friend in San Diego and my Quarter Century membership with Marriott. We had a great time. We saw a crazy bachelor party going on - the photo with all the tall, white hats on. The sayings on the hats can't be repeated on the blog. Then here came the bride and her friends. Kayleen and I had so much fun we are planning another trip in August. We loved this statue by the USS Midway - this statue must have been 40 feet high, if not higher. The other statues are a tribute to Bob Hope and it brought tears to my eyes. I loved watching the little children and people mingle amongst the soldiers. Very touching.

Our friends the Bunkers recreated that famous pose of the sailor and the nurse kissing for their engagement pictures. Very memorable.
